I am now retired after a fulfilling career as an engineer for the U.S. Navy. It started with their coop education program at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and ended 37 years later as a Senior Project Engineer at the Navy laboratory in Annapolis, MD. The last twelve years were particularly fulfilling working with the fleet on energy conservation projects and while I never did “Join the Navy” my frequent ship visits allowed me to “See the World.” GO NAVY!

I was “forced” into early retirement when the Annapolis lab was closed and I now do consulting work from a home office and am loving life. My primary work is with the IWCS where I am webmeister of their website and a member of the staff.

As far as hobbies go I enjoy working and playing with the computer. I have always loved photography and somewhere along the line was dubbed “family photographer.” I've taken most, if not all, of the “Gatto Reunion” and “Christmas Eve” group photos on this site and I must say that you haven't faced a real challenge until you try to get that group organized for a picture. Somehow, through the grace of God, it works every time!
