You see, my brother got the roman numeral at the end of his name (Anthony, III), so Daddy wanted me to have a first initial at the beginning of mine! I guess he thinks it will look cool on a business card some day.

Anyway, Mommy always loved the name “Nicholas,” so that part was easy. Come to think of it, Francesco was easy, too, since that's my Great-grandpa's name and Mommy & Daddy wanted me named after him. So I was named Francesco Nicholas. But wait, it gets even more interesting...

Not many people know that my Great-grandpa was almost named Nicholas! Great-great-grandpa Michele and Great-great-grandma Angela were planning to name their new child Nicholas (if it was a boy!). But just before my Great-grandpa was born, my Great-great-grandpa Michele decided not to name him Nicholas and they chose Francesco instead. Why he changed his mind we're not exactly sure, but he did.

And so, without even knowing this, my Mommy & Daddy named me after my Great-grandpa — twice!
