During that initial week of practice there were some bumps and scrapes — but nothing was going to stop DJ from freeing himself of those training wheels. And while progress was being made, he still wasn't completely on his own just yet.

Then came the call to Danny at the office on a Monday morning. “You've got to see our son on his bike!” Danny could hear the excitement in Chrissy's voice, but didn't really know the full scale of DJ's accomplishment. When he got home that evening he was amazed at the ease and grace DJ displayed on two wheels! He was completely on his own and loving it!

When Danny asked his son what it was that finally did it, DJ replied "Remember when you told me to keep my shoulders straight for balance? Well, it really works!"
