After climbing out of a major pile-up of little-ones, Mikey was crying — he was obviously shook up but didn't initially let on that he was hurt. He stopped crying at home but when he awoke from his nap he told Mommy that “there is a boo-boo in my arm” and he did everything he could to keep from using it. At this point Mom & Dad got busy!

Michael, Jr. got the call at work and left immediately to meet Nina and Mikey at the doctors office. Next, it was off for x-rays where they got the confirmation of a break in both bones a few inches from Mikey's wrist. At that point, they were off to the Ortho-something-or-other specialist for a cast that runs from Mikey's thumb to just past his elbow.

We're told Mikey will need his cast for about 4 weeks but a better determination will come from his follow-up visit in 10 days. He is doing well and will be perfectly fine in a few weeks — Mom and Dad, however, might take a bit longer to recover.
