To match the decor in other parts of the house, the decision was made to give the floor the look of original hardwood. To avoid the expense and extensive work that would have been required, they went with a Pergo "Floating Floor" that nicely simulates the hardwood look.

Mike took the opportunity to paint a week before the installation was to begin. For overall color, a fresh new coat of soft yellow paint was added to the walls and bright white gloss finished-off all the doors and accents for a great contrast. Now that the floors are complete, the family room is bright and inviting and another project is marked off as complete.
