The weekend retreat was intended to promote family fun and we're pleased to report that it lived up to everyone's expectations. A large, family-style farm-house dinner Friday evening was followed by a variety of activities all day Saturday. Golf (including mini-golf for the kids), sight-seeing, pool-play, sun worshipping and outlet shopping provided a wealth of “something for everyone” opportunities.

Of course, the highlight of the weekend was Saturday evening and the big birthday party, complete with 90 + 1 candles on a cake that had to be lit in the courtyard for fear of setting off the banquet room sprinkler system! Papa didn't dissapoint either, blowing out every one of those candles — with just a little help from his six great-grandchildren!

The weekend was such a grand success that the family has decided to make the gathering an annual tradition. Plans are already underway for next year's "2nd Annual De Lucia Family Reunion!"
